Mama’s with little ones, it’s nearly time for Mama’s with little ones, it’s nearly time for our next Mother Gather session yippee! This month we have moved the session to Monday 26th Aug (it is usually on the 3rd Monday of the month) Our meet-up & morning tea will be hosted by @danni.willow - Danni is a Parenting Educator, an Aware Parenting Instructor, Early Childhood Educator, Primary school teacher, holder of sacred space and womens circles. She regularly hosts parenting circles, mothers circles, mother & daughter circles and other workshops and experiences at the Village. She shares her experience, wisdom and insights generously and lives for deeper connection for and with mothers, their families and their tribe. 🌟STUDENT WELLBEING🌟 We had the absolute plea 🌟STUDENT WELLBEING🌟 We had the absolute pleasure of hosting 2 school groups this week at the Village!! Early in the week we had 20 Geelong College students in for a Yoga session in the morning, followed by a Wellbeing & Self Care session in the afternoon - then later in the week, 7 students from Surf Coast Secondary College as part of the amazing @diigg_wellbeing TOM (Tribe Of Mentors) sessions. 🤩 . We are so passionate about supporting teen physical & mental health and love being able to provide these sessions. They are carefully planned and designed by our team to introduce teenagers to mindfulness and self care practices, that will benefit their overall health and wellbeing. . In the past we have facilitated yoga, pilates, sound baths, visualizations, mindfulness meditations & guided discussions on what self care is and how to implement it. We often provide worksheets and can also design sessions to align with a particular theme or wellbeing topic if necessary. The teens LOVE it! . If you know of any schools, sport clubs or teen groups who would like to participate in something like this, please get in touch. 😉 . We love this work and teaching the younger generation simple life skills, that may enhance their experience along the way. . For those who want to explore how we can support teenagers further in wellbeing, we run a weekly Teen Reformer Pilates class on Monday nights at 5pm and teen yoga and wellbeing holiday programs. 🌸 PRENATAL YOGA at the Village 🌸 Pregnancy 🌸 PRENATAL YOGA at the Village 🌸 Pregnancy brings with it much joy but often also aches pains and let’s be honest, some totally weird symptoms! Yoga during pregnancy can help ease tightness and soreness in the body. Gentle movement helps to stretch and release tension. Breathwork helps to calm the mind and deepen the connection to body and breath. Time and space spent reflecting on the increadible journey you are on allows for better birth preparation and the journey ahead into motherhood. Our prenatal yoga teacher Ali (also our in-house Ayurvedic practitioner) views pregnancy as a sacred time. Her classes address the physical aspects and perculurarities of the prenatal time but also the emotional and spiritual aspects of this unique transformation of woman to mother. With gentle guidance and plenty of options for modifications for women at all stages of pregnancy and with a wide array of presenting symptoms - you will feel supported every step of the way. Prenatal yoga is a wonderful way to prepare the body, mind and soul for the intensity of labour and the birthing process and gives you time and space to step out of the busyness of your day to be fully present to the magical, mystical, mysterious, magnificent transformation you are experiencing whilst growing your little babe. We are hosting a photoshoot at the Village this coming Sunday and we need some more willing volunteers to bring their happy faces 😁 We’re looking for all sorts - ladies, gents, young, old and everything in between.
